Concerned about how you are going to afford college? If you have a minimum 3.6 GPA and have excelled in extracurricular activities – you might be interested in looking into the Smittcamp Family Honors College at CSU Fresno. Here’s an established CA campus with tons of spirit and a deep sense of community, not to mention their great football and baseball teams! Undergraduate registration fees, free housing in an on-campus residence hall and a laptop stipend (for four years) will be awarded to 50 applicants who will be graduating in 2011. Seniors – Many colleges are currently advertising their “President’s Scholarships“. These comprehensive scholarships are generally aimed at attracting students of outstanding talent and character who are actively illustrating their interest in learning. Aside from the full-tuition scholarships, these programs may offer fully-funded summer internships, travel, and service programs, and/or an Honors Programs providing integrated liberal arts education in small seminar classes. Most of these scholarships have Early Action requirements and early deadlines (Nov. 1). If you’re interested in this type of scholarship – check out the financial aid website at the college ASAP!
