Santa Clara University’s FREE Spring Engineering Education Days (SEED) program for sophomores and juniors is in April.  Over the course of 4 Saturdays, students take classes spanning several engineering fields with a mix of lecture and interactive lab work.  For more information about program dates, and application requirements, see:

The Berkeley Admissions Student Ambassadors are hosting an event for prospective UC Berkeley students.  A Student Panel will speak about their first year experiences on Sunday, November 21st, 2010 from 11:30—2:30pm in Room 180 Barrows Building at UC Berkeley. (There will be signs leading people to the building.) Prospective students will have an opportunity to ask last-minute application questions and receive a peer review of their essays.

FREE Cal Science & Engineering Festival at UC Berkeley

The College of Chemistry is participating in a community celebration of science!

Explore the wonders of science with activities for the whole family at the first-ever Cal Science & Engineering Festival. This free, outdoor event will take place at UC Berkeley, on Spieker Plaza (located next to Haas Pavilion) on Saturday, October 23 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

It’s all about science in action! You’ll put solar power to the test, get hands-on with ancient fossils, discover the science + sports connection, make your own earthquake, and more! Meet Cal scientists-and experience the excitement and wonder of the science they do.
