Students who applied to UC Davis need to sign up for a MyAdmissions account. MyAdmissions allows students to check the status of their UC Davis application and, if admitted, complete required pre-enrollment tasks.   Go to:

Paying for College Online Event: Join us on Thursday, January 13, for this free online event to learn how to finance college in today’s economy. Counselors, students and parents can chat live with UC Davis admissions reps and financial aid officers on such topics as researching scholarships online, California financial aid and how financial need is calculated at the federal level. Blue and Gold Opportunity Plan: The UC Blue and Gold Opportunity Plan will cover educational and student services fees if you are a California resident whose family earns less than $80,000 per year and you qualify for financial aid. Blue and Gold students with sufficient financial need can qualify for even more grant aid to help reduce the cost of attending college.

Cal Aggie Alumni Association (CAAA) Scholarships: Remind your students that they have until March 25, 2011, to apply for a CAAA scholarship. Currently scholarship awards are between $1,000 and $4,000 and are not renewable. Get more information and apply online, go to:

UC Summer Program – COSMOS (CA State Summer School for Mathematics & Science)

The California State Summer School for Mathematics and Science (COSMOS) invites you and your students to an open house on Saturday, January 22, from 10:30 a.m.-noon at 1001 Geidt Hall on the UC Davis campus. COSMOS is a four-week summer residential program for high achieving math and science students. Students live on campus and attend subject specific classes taught by UC faculty and researchers. The program is open to high school students in the 9th-12th grades. Summer Dates: COSMOS 2011 will be held at the following locations/dates:
